2:a Future Leaders Forum kan vara steget ut i världen

Future Leaders Forum som öppnar årets Mötesindustrivecke i Göteborg, 5-7 mars på Clarion Hotel Post, är en heldag av föreläsningar inklusive en spännade workshop där studenterna ska skapa en bid för ett stort möte för unga människor som ska planeras i Malmö 2013. Future Leaders Forum arrangeras av facktidningen Meetings International i samarbete med IMEX-mässan i Frankfurt, MPI Europe och MCI Group. Evenemanget sponsras för första gången av Tourism in Skåne och Event in Skåne. Deltagarna nomineras av sina respektive utbildningsledare på universitets-, högskole- och YH-nivå och utgör de bästa i sina respektive årgångar. Programmet sker helt på engelska. Här träffas många av morgondagens ledare för första gången. Till nyheterna för detta år får också studenterna som är med på Future Leaders Forum observatörsplatser på Politisk Forum för Tillväxt genom Möten, dagen efter, alltså den 6 mars. Den efterföljande middagen på Politiskt Forum ingår dock inte för studenterna.

09.30 – 10.00. Registration.

 

10.00 – 10.15 Roger Kellerman, Publisher, Meetings International. Welcome and Introduction of speakers. Former President MPI Chapter Sweden. Why is MPI involved in Future Leaders Forum?

 

10.15 – 10.45 Introduction to the Future Leaders Forum

The Forum will be moderated by Tom Hulton, Director of International Relations, IMEX.

 

10.45 – 11.30 “Why I am how I am – and where it came from”

David Åberg, Sales Director, Nordic Choice Hotels

Synopsis: David Åberg has for years been burned to create meetings that difference. In the Choice Hotels, he works with the concept Next Generation Meetings attended by hundreds of buyers from both Sweden and Norway. 2012 in Stockholm at the Clarion Stockholm got the participants also experience how social media changes the meeting itself and influenced by smart phones. It was high class, quick thoughts and twists, fun interactive elements, awareness-raising sessions, exciting speakers. Here was a broad and in-depth dialogue between the participants.

 

11.30 – 12.00 “Meetings for Generation Y”

Maria Thyrén, former Chapter Business Manager, MPI Europé.

Synopsis: The concept and production of meetings have changed dramatically over recent years and this change will rapidly continue with the emergence of Generation Y. The new generation of young people are becoming more sophisticated, more demanding and more successful. Or are they? Maria looks at this important evolution and introduces the MPI student community.

12.30 – 13.00. ”One of the “30 people under 30 yrs of age that has the biggest influence on the global meetings industry

Kryzysztof Celuch, CMM, CITE, Manager, Poland Convention Bureau, Vice-Dean Vistula University. Kryzyzstof Celuch has made a fast career in the polish meeting industry. Poland Convention Bureau is a Governmental institution - a division of the Polish Tourist Organisation, focussed on the promotion of Poland's unique qualities as a business tourism destination, as well as on providing neutral, professional advice to all considering Poland as a venue for their future events.

Synopsis: Krzysztof Celuch began his career in the meetings industry from the cooperation with the biggest polish companies that dealt with service of business customers during business meetings and events. During six years as a journalists he published over 100 articles about meetings industry. Graduate of the University of Physical Education (BA and MA degree) and the University of Warsaw (PhD). Organizer IMEX-MPI Future Leaders Forum in Warsaw. Speaker at EIBTM show in Barcelona and Future Leaders Forum Conferences in Pattaya, Frankfurt and Warsaw among others.

Author and initiator of the project „Warsaw Meetings Industry Report” – a statistical analysis of Warsaw meetings industry. In 2007 The Meeting Professional Magazine identified him as one of the “30 people under 30 yrs of age that has the biggest influence on the global meetings industry”.
Accredited MPI Global Trainer at MPI Global Training and since 2009 Certified Incentive Travel Executive (CITE). Winner of MPI RISE AWARD ”Young Professional Achievement 2010” for the biggest achievements in the global meetings industry in 2009/2010.

 

13.00 – 13.30. ”To take the experience all the way! Janne Björge, CEO, Nine Yards, Stockholm/Gothenburg.

Synopsis: “We are passionate about the experience of the physical meeting. But we have expanded our offering to the market. Today we create meetings, and build brands for many more channels than in the physical meeting. We help our clients to fill the gap between what a brand promise and what it actually delivers. We call it Brand Experience. As a consequence of that we have extended ourselves, that we take the mission all the way, we have changed our name from the Meet the Masters to Nine Yards.”

 

13.30 – 15.15. The Challenge! “Generation Y – The Global Conference in Malmö”

Synopsis: Creativity has become one of the most important characteristics for a successful career in the meetings industry. Teams will be asked to create and organize a global conference for Generation Y. They will work together during this session to present the winning formula to a panel of distinguished judges later in the day.
